Hello Reader
This past weekend I was speaking (and listening) at The People’s Conference for Palestinian Solidarity.
What I came away with is a reminder that all of our struggles are interconnected, and the world is full of people fighting for a better future.
Here is a long list of campaigns and actions anyone can get involved in, some were shared at the conference, some are ones I’m involved in, and some are just ones I’ve been following and supporting:
- Labour for Palestine is coordinating Hot Cargo actions to end arms supply to Israel. Hot Cargo is a resistance tactic where workers refuse to handle goods and services linked to oppression, war, or strike breaking. It’s how we use our power on the job to show solidarity and disrupt injustice. Learn more here: https://www.labourforpalestine.com/hot-cargo-kills
- World Beyond War has an active campaign urging Canada to enact a real arms embargo. Canada is still sending weapons to Israel through the US. Learn more and write your representative here: https://worldbeyondwar.org/canadastoparmingisrael/
- Map data centres in Canada and how fast they are spreading: https://www.datacentermap.com/canada/
- Download the AI Toolkit: Resisting Data Centre development in Canada from Council of Canadians: https://canadians.org/analysis/ai-toolkit-resisting-data-centre-development-in-canada/
- Aula researchers have prepared these resources to provide context, nuance, and evidence to unpack 12 common political claims about data centers: https://theaulafellowship.org/climate-claims-in-data-center-politics/
- Sign Technologists for Democracy’s Say No to Waymo campaign: https://techfordemocracy.ca/2026/04/29/say-no-to-waymo/
- Then sign their campaign to stop Cineplex from using facial recognition software in their billboards: https://techfordemocracy.ca/2025/11/27/stop-cineplex-from-facial-detection/
- *If you’re American join Dream.org’s Stop Toxic Tech campaign: https://dream.org/initiative/stop-toxic-tech/
- Follow the work of Sudan Solidarity Collective: https://www.instagram.com/sudansolidaritycollective/
- Support World Without War’s Cut Ties With Genocide campaign: https://worldbeyondwar.org/cuttieswithgenocide/
- *Track the costs of Doug Ford’s wasteful spending and what it means for communities: https://www.itsonford.ca/
- Follow and support Ontario Students Against Austerity, there is a collective strike action planned for November 5: https://www.instagram.com/ontariostudentstrike/
- Donate to YouthLine’s Emergency Appeal to make sure they stay operational. We’re seeing queer and trans services shut down from coast to coast due to sustained attacks and lack of funding, this emergency appeal is urgent: https://www.youthline.ca/donate/
- Support or get involved with Glia, is a medical solidarity organization that empowers low-resource communities to build sustainable, locally-driven healthcare projects: https://glia.org/
- *If you identify as 2SLGBTQ+, consider signing up for the Prisoner Correspondence Project: https://prisonercorrespondenceproject.com/
- And if you’re in Ontario, don’t forget to vote in your local municipal election.
Transparency Note: Anything with an asterisk is something I’ve been personally involved with in some capacity.
PS. Do you have a collective action you want to share? Email me any time.
